Compassion Matters

I want everyone to find a passion for showing compassion!

My main goal is to challenge each of us to celebrate the uniqueness of every individual, to demonstrate kindness every day, and to be advocates for inclusion any chance we get.

Organizations that dedicate their lives to helping those in need are immensely inspiring. Through Passion for Compassion, I will invest my time in supporting these organizations and causes that are important to me.

With approximately 600,000 individuals currently diagnosed with a craniofacial condition in the US, the need is great. My goal with Passion for Compassion’s partnership with MyFace and CCA is to promote awareness of facial disorders and raise money to fund comprehensive care for craniofacial patients in need.

MY FACE
myFace is a non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of patients with facial disfigurement. With a special focus on children and their families, myFace funds medical, surgical, dental and psychosocial services as well as research and public awareness.

CHILDREN’s CRANIOFACIAL ASSOCIATION
Children’s Craniofacial Association is a national, nonprofit organization.
Nationally and internationally, CCA addresses the medical, financial, psychosocial, emotional, and educational concerns relating to craniofacial conditions.

Organizations dedicated to helping victims of bullying...

1 out of 4 kids are bullied. 1 in 5 kids admit to being a bully, or participating in the act. Each day 160,000 students miss school for the fear of being bullied. These numbers are in no way justified.

Victims may feel ashamed. They may feel that they have no way of receiving help and putting an end to the abuse. My goal with Passion for Compassion’s partnership with Thursday’s Child and PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center is to let victims know that they are not, in fact, alone.

If a person feels as though help is out of their reach, Thursday’s Child and PACER will not only offer support, but will take action by intervening in the school or district. Additionally, I want this message to reach those who do not undergo bullying, because everyone should play an active role in society by standing up for others.

THURSDAY'S CHILD
Thursday's Child is the National Helpline for Endangered Youth. In every bullying case they handle, Thursday's Child will insure that no child who is being bullied ever need consider suicide as an alternative to life.

PACER
PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center provides innovative resources for students, parents, educators, and others, to actively lead social change, so that bullying is no longer considered an accepted childhood rite of passage.
